Pennsylvania American Water, the public water provider for Baldwin Borough, is asking residents to identify lead pipes in their homes so the utility can replace the dangerous material at no cost to residents.
Starting the week of January 30, 2023, water customers whose service line material is unknown to the utility company will receive a postcard with information on how to participate in a survey to help identify any lead pipes in their homes. In a second phase of the project, Greeley and Hansen, the company's project management firm, will be visiting homes that have not responded to the survey to determine if the water pipes contain lead.
We ask that customers who receive this postcard take this request seriously and respond to the survey.
Please note that Baldwin Borough is not involved in this project and is supplying this information to residents as a courtesy. Any questions pertaining to this project should be directed to Pennsylvania American Water or their project management firm, Greeley and Hansen.
