1. What do I need a building permit for?

Building permits must be obtained for all new construction, enlargement, alteration, removal, or destruction of a building or structure. Permits are also required for installation of any general wiring or electrical devices, plumbing and gas installations, mechanical installations, and fire alarm or suppression installations.

2. Where can I find building permits and how much do they cost?

You can find a copy of a building permit on the borough website or at the Borough building. A schedule of fees is also listed on the website and can be obtained at the building as well.
